The effect of the SL150 device reaches approximately 3–4 cm below the skin surface, making it particularly effective for treating superficial conditions, inflammations, and pain near the surface.
The Safe Laser 150 is a soft laser device designed for versatile use, with several accessories available to enable different types of treatments:
150 mW continuous (scattered beam)
660 nm (red light)
Rechargeable Li-ion battery
Optical fiber, cosmetic applicator (1 nasal adapter included)

Injuries
The SL150 is ideal for treating tissue layers up to 4 cm deep.
For deeper tissue treatments, the infrared lasers (SL500 and SL1800 at 808 nm) are recommended.
Mild musculoskeletal injuries
Conditions Caused by Overuse
Degenerative conditions
Musculoskeletal diseases may affect various parts of the body and multiple joints.
Laser therapy shortens healing time for traumatic and sports-related injuries.
Before surgery, laser therapy helps hematomas and edema to absorb faster, improving access to surgical areas and reducing pain.
After surgery, use the device 1–2 times daily to promote faster healing.
Surface skin and mucosal conditions (e.g. herpes, mouth sores, ulcers, aphthae) and gum recession can be treated with the optional fiber optic accessory.
Place the Safe Laser 150 directly on the painful or injured area in contact mode and apply the laser light for the recommended time, then move on to the next point. (A disposable protective cover for the treatment head is available.)
Multiple points can be treated sequentially depending on the size of the painful or injured area.
If, for example, an open wound prevents direct contact with the skin, hold the laser as close as possible (max. 0.5 cm away). In this case, increase the treatment time by 1 minute per point to ensure that the necessary amount of energy is delivered for healing.
For maximum safety, only turn the laser on after placing it on the skin to avoid accidental eye exposure. At the end of the treatment, turn off the device before lifting it from the skin.
A minimum of 4 Joules of energy is required for effective healing.
With optical fiber: 4–8 Joules of energy = 15–30 seconds of irradiation
With nasal applicator: 4 Joules of energy = 3 minutes of irradiation
Treatment Frequency Depends on the Duration of the Condition
(How long ago did the problem start?)
1. Treatment of Acute Conditions (recent onset) and Post-Surgical Cases:
Apply the treatment daily for 1–2 weeks, then 3 times per week until symptoms resolve. Improvement may be noticeable after the first session or within one day.
(For acute conditions, treatment can continue in a single session until improvement is observed.)
2. Treatment of Chronic (long-standing) Conditions (present for more than 6–8 weeks): betegségek kezelése (6-8 hétnél régebben keletkezett):
Chronic conditions should be treated less frequently. Use the laser 3 times per week until the symptoms significantly improve or disappear.
Healing may take longer with chronic issues – days, weeks, or even months.
A mild tingling or temporary increase in pain may occur during the first few treatments (a normal treatment reaction), but this subsides after 3–4 sessions as improvement begins.
If pain increases after treatment, reduce treatment duration and frequency by half. After 3–4 treatments, you can return to the original protocol.
If the painful joint does not improve or worsen, you may be using too low a dose – increase the irradiation time by 2–3 minutes.
If pain worsens and becomes prolonged this may indicate over-treatment. While over-treatment won’t cause permanent damage, pause for a few days, then continue with shorter or less frequent sessions.
A common reason for temporary discomfort is the sudden activation of microcirculation in stagnant tissue areas. This can flush out accumulated waste products, occasionally causing nausea, fatigue, or general malaise—especially when large areas are treated with high doses.
If pain does not decrease within a few weeks, consider switching to a more powerful, infrared laser device such as the SL500 Infra or SL1800 Infra.
3. Treatment of Conditions with Nasal Irradiation:
Daily use is recommended: 3 minutes per nostril, once or twice a day, until symptoms resolve.
More frequent or longer treatments will not necessarily accelerate healing.
There is a biological threshold, beyond which cells cannot be further stimulated by additional irradiation.
